Hi, I’m Teresa– A part time surgical tech, full-time mama (and chauffeur) to three boys, age 10,9 ,4 and the wife of a busy farmer. As if life wasn’t already busy and a little chaotic, I was diagnosed with Trigeminal Neuralgia (TN) in December 2025.
I began experiencing symptoms in early 2025, but it took months of doctor’s appointments and tests to finally get answers. I started medication to help manage the pain, but I was quickly met with a wide variety of side effects. Over the course of several months. I tried different medications, but each one seemed to affect mw more than it helped my symptoms. Because of this I have decided to undergo MVD (microvascular decompression) surgery in hopes of finding relief for my TN.
Living with TN has been physically and emotionally exhausting and I don’t want to keep living this way. I am hopeful my surgery will be successful, but if it isn’t I still have my faith, family and friends to lean on. I will keep fighting and pray someday soon everyone affected by TN will find lasting relief.
